Greeting Cards – Whether your organization chooses to deliver holiday greetings via the post office or you choose to deliver an electronic greeting card via e-mail, your donors will appreciate you taking the time to send your best wishes. Tailor your holiday messages according to your cause. If you’re a religious-based organization it’s acceptable to send a more spiritual greeting, otherwise, keep holiday wishes generic and be sure to thank your donors for their support during the past year.
2. E-Newsletter – The holiday season is the perfect time to e-mail constituents a newsletter celebrating your organization’s achievements from the past year. Include success stories that highlight how their contributions made an impact and changed lives. Everyone enjoys good news stories, especially during this time of year.
3. Holiday Donation Page – Consider creating a special holiday donation page on your organization’s website that allows constituents to celebrate the season of giving. Many of your supporters will appreciate the option of giving a donation in a friend or relative’s name in lieu of exchanging gifts.
4. A Glance At The Year Ahead – Give your constituents a sneak peek into your organization’s plans for the upcoming year in order to build excitement and anticipation. If you already know the dates of your key fundraising events, pass them along now so they can save them in their calendars.
